Facing major global challenges such as COVID-19, the Russia–Ukraine war, geopolitical instability, declining birthrates, and economic recession, the SDG Group—comprising MEAN WELL, POWERNEX, SHARE WELL, and the MEAN WELL Foundation—has integrated nine of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its corporate sustainability blueprint. The group promotes global standard power supply solutions, SDG industrial value networks, computerized KPI management, automated equipment, the SDG Recovery Fund, and the SDG SHARE+ sharing app. By collaborating with trusted partners, the group aims to establish a network of over one hundred ESG-aligned companies, expanding a virtuous cycle and co-creating a sustainable future.
The SDG Group has long been engaged in charitable activities around the world, including the “I Love Tamsui River” campaign, charity concerts, tree planting, mountain clean-ups, elderly care, and charity dragon boat races. In 2023, founder Mr. Jerry Lin was received by the Pope at the Vatican Embassy, where they exchanged greetings and jointly prayed for world peace. He also visited the exhibition marking the 10th anniversary of the Pope’s enthronement and was deeply moved by its message of love and sharing. In his 2015 encyclical Laudato Si’ (“Praise Be to You”), Pope Francis emphasized that global efforts to protect the environment and address climate change remain insufficient. He warned that humanity is nearing a breaking point and urged collective action to care for our common home.
With a strong sense of mission, the SDG Group hopes to raise public awareness of sustainable development issues through the SDG Sustainable Peace Exhibition, which will tour Taiwan, the Vatican, and other global locations. The exhibition calls on everyone to begin with themselves—to protect our shared home and restore peaceful, harmonious relationships with the environment. Through the display of artworks, the exhibition connects businesses, academia, and nonprofit organizations, creating a shared platform that fosters cross-sector dialogue and collaboration. It aims to promote the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and to safeguard the Earth, creating a better environment for future generations.
