SDG Membership Management Regulations(SDG-004)

1. Purpose
To promote SDG Group’s sustainable development initiatives, reliable partners are invited to participate and become long-term SDG members. These regulations are established to define the management and participation of SDG members.

2. Scope
Eligible members include SDG Group employees, SDG Group directors and supervisors, distributors and direct customers, partners and suppliers, public welfare partners (such as volunteer clubs, evergreen clubs, community centers, and MEAN WELL Youth), SDG partners, ESG enterprise partners, as well as other recommended individuals or organizations with notable contributions to public welfare and education.

3. Membership and Upgrade/Downgrade Standards
3.1 Membership Application
Any individual who registers through the SDG SHARE app will become a Green Card member. Green Card members may accumulate SDG points and, subject to system verification, be upgraded to higher membership levels (Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Diamond Card).

3.2 Standards for Membership Upgrade and Downgrade
Membership upgrades and downgrades are determined based on a two-year points evaluation. For each card category, members ranked in the top one-third by PR value will be upgraded, while those ranked in the bottom one-third will be downgraded. Membership levels are updated automatically by the system every January and finalized through discussion in the SDG meeting.

4. Membership type
Membership can be obtained by applying through the SDG SHARE app. Upon completion of registration, the responsible authority will review the membership level according to the standards described in Section 3, assign the designated card level, and issue the corresponding membership points.
4.1 Individual Members:
  1. Membership contributions are attributed to the individual, and membership rights are exercised personally.
  2. Except for SDG Group employees, individual members are subject to an annual fee, which may be paid in full with points or by a combination of cash and points.
4.2 Corporate Members:
  1. For distributors and KA members, membership contributions are attributed to the company, and membership rights are exercised by a company-designated representative.
  2. Corporate members are exempt from paying an annual fee.
4.3 International Members:
  1. Membership contributions are attributed to the individual, and membership rights are exercised personally.
  2. Individual members of SDG Group in domestic and international regions may, based on their contributions within a designated region, be nominated for cross-region registration by the CEO of that region. Cross-region registration and points issuance require approval by the Chairman of the MEAN WELL Foundation of the SDG Group. Membership rights may be exercised only within the designated region for which registration is approved.
5. Activity fee
5.1  Participation in public welfare or volunteer activities is free of charge, while fees are required for visits or travel activities.
5.2  Members may choose to pay activity fees either fully with points or through a combination of cash and points.
5.3  Any surplus collected from activity fees will be donated to public welfare initiatives to support SDG’s sustainable development and social responsibility goals.

6. Absence Policy
Members who cancel or are absent from registered activities for personal reasons three or more times will have their activity registration privileges suspended for one year.

7. Points Accumulation
All points must be applied for by the organizing party and approved according to the process and authority defined by the regulations.
7.1  Donations to MEAN WELL Foundation: A donation of NT$5,000 will earn 1,000 points (20% of the donation amount).
7.2  Volunteer Participation: Participation in volunteer service activities (One hour = 200 points)

8. Charity Sales
The Foundation may conduct online or offline exhibitions and charity sales of artworks as part of its public welfare and sustainability initiatives. Proceeds from these sales may be received in cash or SDG points and will be donated to the MEAN WELL Foundation to support public welfare, environmental protection, and social assistance projects.

9. Points Issuance Timeline
Points will be issued within 48 hours following confirmation and verification by the organizer, in accordance with computerized procedures.

10. Use of Points
10.1  Redemption: Points may be redeemed directly on the SDG website’s giveaway section. Once a transaction is completed, the redeemed points will be immediately deducted from the member’s account and cannot be refunded or modified.
10.2  Transfer: Members may transfer their SDG points to other SDG members.
10.3  Consumption: Points may be used to offset purchases at SDG Group partner stores (“SDG Designated Stores”). Points used for this purpose are non-refundable.

11. Points Validity
11.1  Points are valid for a two-year period. The system will notify members six months prior to expiration. Points must be used before the expiration date; any unused points will automatically expire and cannot be extended, converted into cash, or exchanged for other benefits.
11.2  If membership is terminated, any unused points will be forfeited.

12. Revision
Any amendments to these regulations must be approved by decision of the SDG Group meeting before taking effect.
